More than 2 square meters, attracted a total of 2,456 companies from around the world to participate in the show, including 197 overseas companies from 21 countries and regions. Despite the hardships in Shanghai and the torrential weather, the number of visitors to the three-day exhibition still set a new record, reaching 44,984, an increase of nearly 10% over 2012, including 11,894 overseas visitors, covering 143 countries worldwide. And the area increased by 25.6% from 2012. The impressive data of the 2013 exhibition not only reflects the strong attraction of CPhI China to global buyers, but also reflects the authoritative position of the CPhI brand in the domestic pharmaceutical field and has truly become an annual industry event.
This year's exhibition continues the "special exhibition" design. The three exhibitions “Biopharmaceutical and Technology Pavilion”, “Contract Customization Service Pavilion” and “Biochemical, Analytical Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition” in Hall W2 combine to focus on the hot trend of biopharmaceutical R&D. The “World Natural Extracts China Exhibition” at the E4 and E5 Pavilions will further expand its scale and focus on the latest products and technologies for animal and plant extracts. The W3 pavilion's packaging material boutique and the W4 pavilion's environmental protection and clean technology zone also provide convenient procurement channels for buyers of pharmaceutical machinery and equipment.
Adhering to the fine tradition of combining “exhibition” and “conference”, the organizers also carefully planned more than 180 meetings during the exhibition, including rich forums such as high-end forums, professional seminars, and exhibitors’ technology exchange meetings, combined with the latest policies and regulations at home and abroad, and industry hot spots. Topics such as topics, practical technologies, etc., not only meet the audience's need to understand the frontier information of the industry, but also diversify the way in which the exhibitors and the audience communicate. The exhibition was also bold and innovative. In addition, the third buyer buying conference held by pharmaceutical online CPhI.cn was also successfully held on site. During the three days of the exhibition, a total of 61 buyers were present to negotiate 280 procurement meetings. The procurement success rate was close to 90%. The involved products cover over 1,100 products in more than 20 categories, including APIs, extracts, biological products, pharmaceutical machinery, pharmaceutical packaging, and medical consumables.
