In order to implement the spirit of the State Council's State Council-sponsored [2011] No. 12 “2011 Key Work Arrangement for Food Safety”, commissioned by the National Development and Reform Commission, China Instrument and Meter Industry Association drafted the “Autonomous Implementation Plan for Food Safety Testing Instruments” (hereinafter referred to as the implementation plan). ), and held a seminar in Beijing on July 26. Leaders and experts from 20 units including National Development and Reform Commission, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China National Institute for Drug Control, China National Technical Import and Export Corporation, Beijing Metrology Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and food inspection equipment manufacturers attended the seminar.

The meeting was chaired by Li Yueguang, a full-time vice chairman, and Guo Xiaowei, the deputy secretary general, reported to the participating experts on the Implementation Plan. Subsequently, the participating experts spoke one by one and made many constructive suggestions on the status quo of food safety inspection and testing instruments and equipment, the guiding ideology of the implementation plan, the implementation goals, implementation contents, and safeguard measures.
