The four pipelines are respectively located at Shengli East Street (Ziyuan Road - Dongfang Road, 2300 meters in length), Wolong East Street (Ziyuan Road - Ronghua Road, with a length of 4000 meters), and Zhiyuan Road (Fushou East Street - Wolong East Street, pipeline length 1000 meters), Golden Horse Road (Health Street East - Fushou East Street, pipeline length of 1600 meters). At present, the main pipeline has been fully laid, and the high-tech district heating department is making full efforts to build branch pipelines. After the completion of the project, an additional 7.6 million square meters of heating capacity will be added, and residents of this winter's Hi-tech Zone will all use high-temperature water for heating.

According to the person in charge of the Management Office of the High-tech Zone Public Utilities Management Office, the high-temperature water coming out of the heating department reaches around 130°C, and the heating pipes in residents' homes cannot withstand such high-temperature water. Therefore, after high-temperature water enters each residential area through the pipeline, it absorbs the heat of the high-temperature water through the heat exchange station in the community, converts it into low-temperature water, and sends it to millions of households.

Using high-temperature water for heating has three major benefits. First of all, the air quality has improved significantly. The reporter learned from the environmental protection department that the removal of 28 coal-fired boilers with a capacity of 10 tons/hour or less in the Gaoxin District of Weifang City this year will release more than 50 tons of smoke and dust per heating season and reduce more than 120 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions. Second, security risks have been eliminated. After the small boilers and earth boilers were demolished, the “time bombs” hidden in the urban areas were excluded, effectively protecting the lives and property of residents. In addition, the heat supply capability is greatly enhanced. The newly built nearly 9,000 meters of heating pipelines, with an additional heating capacity of 7.6 million square meters, can meet the heating needs of many units and communities such as Beihai Garden and Weifang University.
