Sampling methods and characteristics

<

(1) Grooving method → engrave in a certain proportion according to the direction in which the ore property changes most.

Samples of laboratory samples are typically taken. Applicable to: the case where the exposed surface of the ore body is small and there are many sampling points.

(2) Peeling method → A layer of (10-20 cm) ore crumb is peeled off from the surface of the outcrop of the ore body as a sample.

Features: large range and low efficiency. Applies: precious metals, precious metals and non-uniform distribution of ore and ore thin sample.

(3) Blasting method → On the two walls or the top plate of the tunnel, the shots are shot according to the predetermined specifications, and all or part of the blasted ore is taken as a sample.

Applicable to: large sampling volume, uneven distribution of ore grade, mostly industrial test samples.

(4) Drilling core extraction method → Take 1/2 or 1/4 of the borehole core of the core drill of the geological department as a sample.

The core taken should pass through the entire thickness of the ore body and be drawn along the centerline.

Suitable for: laboratory sampling with small sample size.
