The initial investment in the new Chengdu filter factory is RMB 33 million, with a total investment of RMB 36 million. The new Chengdu filter factory will enable Freudenberg to better serve the automotive filter and industrial filter market in western China. In fiscal year 2011, Freudenberg's sales in the Chinese market reached 3.67 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%.
