MacGregor receives 3 orders for marine cranes

<

It is reported that Cargotec's loading and processing expert MacGregor has received a new submarine crane contract to deliver three cranes for a marine accommodation and engineering ship being built by the Canadian Chantier Davie shipyard. The new vessel is the first of a series of offshore accommodation and engineering vessels with dynamic positioning capabilities and is expected to be delivered by the end of spring 2015.
The boat's high quality accommodation and working environment provides accommodation for up to 400 people. Thanks to its large accommodation capacity, the vessel is equipped with active lift compensation channels and a variety of subsea and superstructure equipment, and is versatile for deployment on a global scale.
The equipment package provided by MacGregor includes three cranes: a 250-ton SWL active lift compensation (AHC) subsea crane, a 20-ton offshore crane and a 5-ton SWL loading crane.
Canada's Chantier Davie Shipyard is one of the largest shipyards in North America and has delivered more than 700 vessels and mobile offshore drilling rigs to customers worldwide.
